HONE Program

Digital education for a future generation of opera-goers

What is the HONE Program?

Helping Opera’s New Existence (HONE)

The HONE Program is a digital lesson plan, created for all educators who wish to implement inclusive and diverse opera education within their curriculum. Each lesson plan consists of an introductory performance by our OIR mentors, a full session video, an accompanying activity, and a Q&A discussion. The lesson will be hosted by two of our OIR mentors and will include one of our five sessions that focus on themes connected to the civic impact on opera.

Designed for grades 7-12

Our HONE sessions are designed for youth, ages 12 to 18. We are able to adjust our programming to meet the needs of students outside the aforementioned age range.

We bring HONE right to you!

Any facilitation or discussion of your package will be curated virtually, making this program 100% digital. We made sure that our programming aligned with curriculum guidelines from all across Canada. Once booked, you will receive a curriculum guide to further explore how your chosen session can best fit your institution or community needs.
